The searching

Last weekend the leelokids family (my husband, my daughter and i ) went to stock up our batik. It was a 2 days 1 night stays but lots of fun and makan session during that stay.

We will definetly coming back and now im busy cutting for the next bazaar...

Next next dress

I was trying to make a new dress. As usual, this is for lil Nasya to try and see if it is works, and how does it looks etc. As I have only this blue fabric in stash that is enough to make her dress, I started cutting. It takes about 2 days for me to decide to cut. Sometimes I just dont have the mood to start and it is quite challenging.



Half way cutting and sewing, only I realized, I cut the sleeves wrongly! Initially it was in marroon with blue spots that match the bodice, but then again, thats the only blue batik I have :D Looks nice combination as well, but it is too blue, in my opinion.

That is without the lining. I continued last night with the lining and I was at the same time worrying about my grandmother who is in the hospital now. Sewing, and worrying and watching new season of my fav tv series is not a good combo you know. So, end up I sew it wrongly..iskk..The finishing is not superb, forgot to make a cut for the back button and many more..So, another round of trial before deciding whether this should be for selling or just for my girl, since it is sooo complicated.

Welcoming the new year 2013

Hello all,
So here I am editing the photos from our photoshoot last 2 weeks. We had another session since the first session was raining, so even though the photos did turn out pretty, the resolution and lighting is not that nice. Lucky our super energetic photog didnt mind and willing for another round of shots same as the kids and mommies.

I cant never thank them, they are too kind. And hope Im not that too fussy for wanting another session..heee..

The place was nice. It was at Desapark city, and it was sunny, under the bright hot sun. We need to be fast since the weather now is not really cooperating. It is a monsoon season, so we know what to expect - rain. The kids warmed up quite fast, thank god and they are almost at the same age.

Mia, is the eldest, she is in Primary 1 now. Her mom, Ira sews and makes pretty things as well. She blogs too, you can find her in her blog here. I knew her when I was selling my hats and also borrowed Mia in my Bella session for the sunhats. She really speaks well and very poised little girl. ;)

Ayra, same as my Nasya. She has a very sweet smile that I really adore since first I saw her, and I know, I wanted to have her model for Leelo Kids.Her mom, coincidentally works at the same area with me, so we usually meet up to pass items the mom ordered things like that you know. We have same circle of friends as well. She knows my high school friends and she knows me from Ira. Ayra was in Bella last year too ;)

 

Athirah is one miracle baby. She was a preemie at less than 600 gm if Im not mistaken and daughter to the the photographer Munirah. I get to know Munirah from blogging and went to few grand birthday parties for her kids. When I said grand here, meaning, all of the kids will have hard time to leave the house by end of the party, they enjoyed themselves so much at her house and she and the husband and whole family are the kind of host that you like and really want to come back for more. Munirah loves to take photos because during this photoshoot I was extremely tired, but she just couldnt stop :D You can get her service by emailing her or take a peek at her blog.

After the photoshoot, I treated them ice cream and they got to keep what they are wearing. And photoshoot session with kids is never easy. I was totally drenched in sweat and they too but then, I just so love to see the outcome. So pretty and loves every story behind, what they did, what they talked about, it still ringing here in my ears. Thank god there was no crying session during the session.

So last night, well actually few nights back, I was busy editing and setting up the shop. The online shop. It is never easy. It is simple but just last night I realised I didnt put the watermark so I redo everything again. I spend my time editing and listening to Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman :p 

Okay, so basically what Im busy with, hope 2013 will brings more sparkle to us to achieve what we aim and want.

Jasmine Pants went out side again

The other Jasmine pants went to see the world few backs before Ramadhan. I met a creative buddy Ira with her kids at Bangsar Village. We wanted to brainstorm something when I realised whole bag of batik and sampling was left in the car.

Nasya had fun with Mia and Mike, playing, eating reading together in that short session.

I finished up the pants for the Little Red Market and last night whipping up another sampling. I need to time myself to come out with a piece of clothing. Seems good but few to alter..

Will see if I managed to get a baby model for that sampling to know whether the sizing is ok or not..Too many in my plate now but yeah, happy with what Im doing now..

Props

I have been looking for some cute sunglasses for kids other than pink Barbie's one I usually see. So when I saw this, I grabbed it without thinking much..

Yup, this will be one of the props for the photoshoot. But do not know whether it will fit or not, I just need few options..

And best news today, samples of batik coming in few weeks back and Im expected more tomorrow. Im going to be busy by fasting month, insyaAllah. And 2 friends already said Yes for lending their talented kids as Leelo Kids model.. :D Thank you to both of you!
